The Tetons are where I truly learned to adventure. In 2012, I pitched my first tent beneath those jagged peaks and fell hard for the raw beauty of this place and the wildlife that moves through it. The Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem—of which Grand Teton is a part—is often called the "Serengeti of North America," and rightfully so: dawn bugles from elk in the meadows, grizzly bears turning stones along the river, pronghorn and bison threading the valleys, and autumn cottonwoods lighting the banks of the Snake River. Here, mountains tower like a skyline, and the seasons arrive with purpose—color, migration, and that crisp air that makes you breathe a little deeper.

Over the years, my relationship with this landscape has changed. What began as a love for photographing wild places gradually became a desire to understand them. I challenged myself to become a student of adventure—learning about its wildlife, ecology, geology, and conservation challenges so I could tell more meaningful stories and become a stronger advocate for protecting the places that have given me so much. That journey has shaped not only my own creative work, but also the philosophy behind Wild Creative.

Grand Teton is also where our community began. Co-host Alan Tomassetti and I met on a trail here, and the conversation that followed sparked a simple meetup that eventually grew into Wild Creative—a community where artists, photographers, filmmakers, writers, naturalists, scientists, educators, and conservationists come together to learn from one another. Creativity becomes more powerful when it's rooted in curiosity, observation, and a deeper understanding of the natural world.

I'm excited to share this place with you. Get ready for early mornings, journal time, grounding, research, quiet moments along the river, conversations around the campfire, and opportunities to slow down, ask questions, and see this landscape through fresh eyes. My hope is that you'll leave not only with beautiful creative works, but with a deeper connection to the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem and a renewed sense of wonder for the wild places we're privileged to experience—and protect.
