Autumn’s Magic in Yosemite
Foliage: Big-leaf maples, black oaks, cottonwoods, and dogwoods bring golds, ambers, and soft reds—especially through the Valley.
Light & Weather: Crisp, clear air with moody granite light; cool mornings, mild afternoons; be prepared for cold evenings.
Wildlife: Expect mule deer, coyotes, and bird activity in the Valley.
Road Note: Tioga Road access is weather-dependent in November. If closures occur, we’ll adapt routes accordingly.
Why This Time & Place?
November offers quieter trails, striking granite under low-angle light, and late-season color—perfect for reflection, connection, and creative exploration.
Accommodations:
Camp Curry group tents (4 beds) — booked/organized by host — $248.35 per person for the full meetup.
Book your own lodging: Curry Village (official site): https://www.travelyosemite.com/lodging/curry-village
Closest motels to the park (El Portal entrance):
Campgrounds: Popular sites like Camp 4 are first-come, first-served in November (about $10/person/night).
Car camping: Options inside the park are very limited and stealth camping is not permitted; outside the park, only park/overnight where it’s legal and signed—always follow posted regulations.
